517-7 is where the end do Australia a little over 160 runs in 30 overs they put up today so the score rapidly. They will resume on day 3 at early.
Yesterday they were 360 odd for six at the end of the day, Michael Clarke came out which is bit of a surprise for everyone really that he came out. But it was Steve Smith who held up with one end aggressively, He's been in that sort of form through the cause for the last twelve-eighteen months, that every time He goes out to bat that seems to be getting a big one and clearly star of the day again, inspired of Michael Clarke's hundred. Steve Smith was the guy who stood out. He is probably more than the actual final number, He's doing whatever Australia requires of him and the batsmen around him at the time. If He needs to score runs quickly, He goes about that. If He needs to settle down the innings after losing bunch of quick wickets, He can do that too. The thing that I was particularly excited about today and there was a much to make me excited it was the ease which He came back after a rain delay & middle the bowl again. Always under the impression that I was supposed to be difficult when you came back after a delay and you suppose to take a little time to get back into things. It was really quite amazing.
The poor start that India had in the morning, they gave quick runs in the first few overs, sort of almost played into the hands of Aussies where they could actually come out and hard, the bowlers need time to settle as well, when you come out after a break is just as hard for a bowler and when a batsmen as doesn't have any fear of getting out and swings, it almost comes of most times, at one point, He was batting like a T20 game. The bowler was more in fear of getting hit as batsmen on this point.
Varun Aaron tops the list of worst economy rates for Indian bowlers in test, the qualification being atleast 20 overs in an innings. 2/136 at 5.91. There has to be some stage in the game that a bowler need to pull that back & unfortunately He didn't do that. You can keep control of the test match when you're bowling under three, once it goes over that, It's very difficult to control the game.
It's the first time ever that India's opening bowlers have both gone for 5 an over in an innings after bowling more than 20 overs. That's very disappointing stuff. Two of your bowler can't go over five in test cricket, It's just not acceptable.
It is Karan's first test match, He bowled 30 odd overs and he's been too expensive but it is a very fast scoring ground, The batsmen have been in a good shape & He hasn't had anything up the other end.
It's now two Venues along with Adelaide and Brisbane is the other one where Clarke has made over a thousand runs at an average of over a hundred. He's the first player to achieve this feat. Historically, That's a pretty special achievement. He's the special player that Australia has produced.
