Pakistan played well today, In the first session, Australia was in control with Smith & Marsh at the crease. These two were defending & rotating the strike very well. However, in the last minutes before lunch, Marsh got out. Hafeez, The Professor of Pakistan side, took the wicket of Mitchel Marsh.
Shafiq at leg slip, took a brilliant catch that was the off break, turning down the leg side & Marsh went for a little flick. After the lunch break, Yasir Shah, The Pakistan leg break bowler, took the wicket of well settled Aussie batsmen Smith in the first over. That was brilliantly bowled by Yasir.
Unfortunately Smith missed his century by just three runs, I am sad for his hard work.
Johnson comes to play & defend the remaining four balls of the over. Zulfiqar Babar came to attack at Haddin as he was not feeling well due to his shoulder injury. Haddin defended first five bowls by Zulfiqar, But, unfortunately, He got bowled just on the last bowl of the over. At that stage, Australia were 238/7.
Three wickets were remaining; Yasir Shah took 2 out of them & Zulfiqar Babar took one wicket. That was team effort by Pakistani players, the way they played throughout the series; It was brilliant. Each & every player played his role, Unfortunately; Professor was not it touch, He could not bat good, But He took important wickets for Pakistan. Tons of records made in this series for Pakistan, As they whitewashed Australia after 31 years & won the series against them after 20 years. Pakistan won the match by 356 runs; It is their biggest victory in tests over any team(by margin). Misbah-ul-Haq also made fastest test century in this match; He equaled the record of Sir Vivian Richards. Many more records made in this series, can't mention each & every record here.
