Misbah-ul-Haq, the Pakistani skipper, won the toss & opted to bat. Toss matters a lot in UAE. Shan Masood, got another chance to prove himself, failed in this test too & got out on just 12 runs. Mohammad Hafeez scored 178* runs, Most by anyone in Sharjah.
Hafeez, Who had missed the second test due to injury and flew to England for his bowling test, He was reported in the first test by umpires, Some of his deliveries are illegal according to them. At the end of the day, Misbah-ul-Haq & Mohammad Hafeez are at crease; Pakistan scored 281 in the first day.
Partnership between Mohammad Hafeez and Misbah-ul-Haq is the highest of the innings - 121*.
On the other hand, Daniel Vettori, Who came back after a long time, that too without playing domestic for almost a year. Got a crucial wicket of Younis Khan on just five runs. Craig picked two wickets of Azhar Ali, who was on 39 runs & Shan Masood, on 12.
Tomorrow, Misbah-ul-Haq's strategy would be to score something around 450 and declare the innings as soon as possible & leave it to bowlers. As Hafeez is back in this match & He can bowl now. It's getting very tough for New Zealand to win this match now.

LRPL Taylor today smashed Marvelous Hundred & put his team in winning  position. In third innings, New Zealand scored 250 runs & they gave the target of 261 to Pakistan in 72 overs. Pakistan tried to win that, But 261 runs in 72 overs(67 to be precise) are never easy on fifth-day pitch.
Pakistan lost some quick wickets. Misbah, Azhar, Taufeeq got out on just 75 runs, It turned management's decision, They gone for a draw & Asad-Sarfraz Batted brilliantly to save the game. In last three matches, Two against Australia & one against New Zealand, No one could not even stay at the crease to save the match. Credit goes to Pakistani batsmen for playing brilliantly.
So, Pakistan still leads the three matches test series by 1-0. One last match left to be played, New Zealand will surely try to win to draw the series, It is not easy now.
Yasir Shah got first Fifer(Five-wickets) of his career. Pakistani spinners done brilliant job, They produced lot's of chances, But the dropped chances resulted in a draw. Pakistan has to improve their fielding, in case they want to win the next match, Otherwise, Saving the next match will not be easy if they'll drop so many chances once again.

Summary:

17th Nov, Monday(Day 1): New Zealand scored 243/3 in the first innings - 87 overs (137* by Latham, 7* CJ Anderson)

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd Test Day 3 Highlights. PAK vs NZ Cricket Highlights 2nd Test Day 3 on 19th Nov, 2014. Pakistan ended their innings on a bit bother, 34-2. They lost their both openers, And it was due to fielding fatigue, they were fielding for so long. Both the openers, Shan Masood & Taufeeq Umar are replacement, As Ahmed got injured & Hafeez's action is in doubt, so He has to give tests to ICC.
Losing both the openers on just 34 runs, will put a lot of pressure to the middle-order of Pakistan, Their batting will depend a lot on Younis & skipper Misbah as they both are in marvelous form these days & scoring runs, runs & runs. Pakistan trail by 369 runs, Which is a huge score. Batting on spinning track of day 4 is really not an easy job, As we saw earlier, Pakistani bowlers completely demolished Australian & then New Zealand's batting line-up in day four & five.
McCullum will depend a lot on his spinners, Craig & Sodhi, They will get lots of help from pitch.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd Test, Day 2 Cricket Highlights - 18th Nov, 2014

Mark Craig is congratulated after dismissing Taufeeq Umar, Pakistan v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Dubai, 2nd day, November 18, 2014 ©AFP

New Zealand started their batting at 243-3 today. Ehsan Adil & Rahat Ali got wickets in the start of the day. Yasir Shah took the wicket of Taylor & Rahat Ali got TWM Latham. Latham did not even score a single run today; Taylor was struggling against spinners yesterday as well.
Next one was JDS Neesham; He got out by Yasir Shah. New Zealand's tailenders frustrated Pakistani bowlers a lot. New Zealand scored 403 total in the first innings. Secondly, Pakistani fielders once again disappointed us. Many opportunities have been lost by bad fielding today. Missed catches can cost Pakistan the match.
New Zealand played with the Run Rate of 2.58 in the first innings; they played 783 dot balls.
After putting decent score on the board, New Zealand did well with the ball too. At the end of the day, Pakistan was 34-2, They lost both the openers today. Shan Masood got out on 13 & Taufeeq Umar on 16. They both got time after some time; Shan Masood is still new to the international stage, He got some chances before but couldn't prove himself. Taufeeq Umar having brilliant stats at home & overseas got chance into the team after couple of years. He was out due to an injury; He could not do well in the first innings. Now they both have another innings to prove themselves.
Azhar Ali & Younis Khan at crease, they need to build a partnership tomorrow. A wicket or two in the first session tomorrow can cost Pakistan this match.
Missed a day? Don't worry, We are here. Watch the highlights of the game being played between Pakistan & New Zealand, Second Day - 18th Nov, 2014.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd Test Match Day 1 Highlights - 17th Nov, 2014

Tom Latham goes on the attack, Pakistan v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Dubai, 1st day, November 17, 2014 ©Getty Images

Brendon McCullum was lucky this time, As He won the toss. He opted to bat first; there was no reason of bowling first men. Winning streak of Pakistan is in danger now, It is a real test for them to win this match or even draw it. In all the previous matches, Which Pakistan won, They batted first. However, now, it is opposite, Opposition is batting first now. Everything is reversed now.
By batting first, New Zealand made 243 runs in the first day and lost just three wickets. Openers gave the decent start of 77 runs as McCullum got out on 43. Second partnership was of 76 runs between Williamson & Latham. Williamson scored 32 runs, bowled by Zulfiqar Babar. Third one was between Taylor & Latham(Of course) of 73 runs. Taylor was struggling against spin, got many chances, But in the end, Shan Masood took a great catch of him. TWM Latham is on 137* and Anderson has just scored 17 runs.
Five bowlers used by Misbah. Rahat Ali(20-2-46-0) - Ehsan Adil(17-4-47-1) - Zulfiqar Babar(25-4-92-1) - Yasir Shah(22-3-51-1) And Azhar Ali(3-1-6-0).
Today, Pakistan fielders ruined the hard work of their bowlers. Pakistani fielders have missed too many opportunities. Creating chances on this dead pitch is not easy, bowlers did well, But it was fielding that ruined the day. Day One belonged to New Zealand. It is the first day that Pakistan lost all the sessions in last five matches. Pakistan needs to do good fielding. Otherwise, It will be difficult for them to win this match or even draw it.
Missed? Don't worry, We are here to help you. Watch the Highlights of day one's play below.

Against Australia, Pakistan batted first in every game, Against New Zealand, In the first game, Pakistan batted first too. However, this one is real Test for Pakistan as they lost the toss.
